Holiday Wrap Up

I hate putting away my Christmas decorations.

I'm one of those crazy people who starts listening to Christmas music in November. I justify this to people by telling them that because I have a business making and selling Christmas decorations and gifts, I need to start thinking about the holiday in September. It's purely business. And also a great excuse for me to indulge in my sick, twisted obsession. I know most people are miserable about the holidays, but I'm not one of them. I can say this after having spent years in retail, working countless four to midnight shits at the mall the week before Christmas - so as you can see, I am seriously dedicated to this holiday. Christmas is not just a day for me, it is the whole damn month of December. I will wring every freaking drop of festivity out of this holiday possible.

Having finally joined the rest of the world on instagram (only a few years late, thanks to an annoying Blackberry contract), I am not able to document every minutia of my life. Yes, I know many of you were concerned about missing out on what I had for breakfast (answer: Hot Chocolate, because we haven't gone shopping in weeks and have no solid food in the apartment).

Behold - My Christmas as told through the magic of instagram!

As you can see, general themes were cats, food, and Christmas trees, and, of course, food. What is really being left out of this visual retelling is the fact that I managed to go an entire two weeks on a diet of holiday cookies and not gain a pound. I consider this to be my greatest achievement of 2012.

And yes, I know you're jealous of my Rainbow Brite Christmas stocking, circa 1986.
